A fantastic little hot spring. Fits 2-3 people in 90 degree water. A short hike of slightly over a mile leads you here. Very peaceful and calming.
FindASpring Team Update:
As of 2025, Sulphur Warm Springs is a semi-remote, undeveloped small spring which takes a moderate hike to access. It is reported that the trail and general area the spring inhabits was damaged due to fires, making the process of access and finding the spring more tricky. Prior to the fires, many who visited the spring discuss the lack of maintenance to the trail, meaning it is usually very overgrown and therefore, harder to access without proper care and equipment.
It is suggested to park on the road near Sulphur Creek Campground, which is near Darrington. From there it is reported to be around a four mile round trip. Around .7 miles in you should reach a fork in the road where you will turn left. Follow the path until you reach a log bridge, and after crossing, walk upstream. There are stone steps which mark the hot spring, though with the fires and overgrown nature, it is expected to be more of a hunt.
The hot spring itself is very small. It can fit just about 2 adult people. It’s the perfect humble getaway for a bonding activity with your loved one. Since it’s not a main public hot spring nor a resort, few people visit here. The pool is small and the hot spring’s water temperature usually runs at 90 degrees F and will have a strong sulfur scent. It’s highly recommended to go here during the daytime.
