Stinking Hot Springs, also known as Old Indian hot springs, is a free primitive hot spring containing three undeveloped and unkept cement walled soaking tubs. The name stems from the high amount of sulfur in the water which gives the spring its smell. The source of the water is said to be around 113 to 124 degrees, but the tubs range from 99 to 102 degrees F.
The springs are on private property, though the owner has given the public access. As a result, there is no camping allowed, clothing is optional, though the highway is close to the tub so bathe at your discretion.
