Hot spring fits between 2 and 4 people. Temperatures range between 102-104 during summer and fall.
FindASpring Team Update:
As of 2025, Deer Creek, aka Bigelow, Hot Springs is a small natural pool located adjacent to the McKenzie River. The spring is sectioned off by rocks and is partially inside of a cave, which is where the source is located. Best time of year for visitation is during the summers, as the pool struggles to maintain heat during winter.
Directions: Approximately 60 miles (97 km) from Eugene, take the McKenzie Highway 126 East towards Sisters, Oregon. Shortly after Belknap Springs, take Forest Services Rd NF-2654. Continue driving over the bridge and you will find parking on the right hand side. There is no fee for parking in this area. Once arriving at the parking area, there will be a small bushwhack trail along the west side of the bridge. Follow the trail that runs directly adjacent to the McKenzie River until you come across the spring.
