About This Spring

I found this spring on the banks of the Wading River just pouring out into the river…I guess coming straight out and up from the Kirkwood – Cohansey Aquifer. There is a well pump nearby for the Godfreys Bridge campground. If you stop at the picnic area and head towards the river the spring is located right on the bank dropping down about 4 feet to the river. I drank the water with no ill effect and it had an irony taste like most of the water in the area.
