Bog Hot Springs is a hot stream which flows within a canal and into an irrigation reservoir. It is remote and is on private property, though the owner has allowed for free public access to the spring. The water at the source is extremely hot, around 130 degrees F, but cools off substantially as it flows downstream where it collects into several pools. The largest pool available was created by a small man-made dam.
While Bog Hot Springs does not have a designated spot for RVs or tents, camping is permitted in the area. There is no fee to visit the springs or stay in the area, allowing you to spend your money on other adventures while visiting the “Sagebrush State”. This location also has no cell phone service due to its remote location, so plan accordingly.
