Ok so this spring is for swimming (not a place for drinking water) I mean you could probably drink it, but it’s a place to get in the water. Its crystal clear and super refreshing. Very very special place. Expect to see people there.
Getting there: Not super straight forward but not difficult either. The pin on the above map is for the spring itself but you need to park about 15 mins away.
Easiest way: Type in “Manantial De Guayaney” on google maps. There’s two marked on google maps in the same proximity, the spring you want is the one to the west. Or the one on the left if your map has north at the top of the map.
Anyway drive there, find the second two pictures and park at that location on the side of the road. Get on the path, keep right until you get to a point where the obviously more heavily traveled path veers to the left (about 10 mins in) stay on the more heavily worn path. Walk another 5 mins and keep an eye out to the right. When you get to the spring the path opens up slightly and you need to climb down some rocks (not difficult). You can track where you are at on the path using the point plotted on google maps that I talked about above. It was clean on 5/2023 and I would say kid friendly spot.
