A formerly popular cluster of springs and bathhouse between 1919 to the 60s, Klekane Inlet Hot Spring, due to landslide damage and lowered public interest, is now a scarcely visited two spring soaking spot.
The spring is geothermal water which emerges from the earth at a source temp of around 127 F, 53 C. The water was channeled into a concrete block pool which was located inside of a cedar bathhouse, where it would be cooled to a temperature of 106 F, 41 C. Though due to the aforementioned landslide, the bathhouse is no longer open for usage by the public.
Those who wish to experience the spring are in for an adventurous experience as travel to the spring’s location is limited to boat or plane, with a hike awaiting those who successfully set foot on the spring’s land. The marine chart corresponding to this location is marked aas 3739, with bordering NTS maps reading 103H/2 and 103H/7.
