An ancient holy spring with crystal clear water that was used for healing purposes and was a noted eye-curer. (Holy Wells and Magical Waters of Surrey by Rowland G.M. Baker)
Take the B2450, by the River Mole and turn onto Thorncroft Drive. At the turning/start of Thorncroft Drive there is parking for a couple of vehicles if lucky. Immediately on the left, take the path and go down a set of steps to reach the spring.
