The forest backwater famous for its healing spring water is located in the forest between Olesno and Wojciechów, approximately 1.5 kilometers from St. Anne’s Church.
The history of the Seven Springs is inextricably linked to the Olesno temple.
Namely, in the years 1669-1670, five chapels were added to the main part of the temple. However, the carpenters had trouble with the expansion, because there were swamps around the church. Seven of them went to the forest to cut down trees to build chapels, and suddenly a spring gushed in front of each of them. When they returned to St. Anne’s Church, it turned out that the ground was already dry.
For centuries, it has been common practice that pilgrims coming to St. Anne’s Church also visit the Seven Springs to draw from the miraculous water.
