Belle Vue Plage

In the département of Côte d’Armor in Brittany, there are a dazzling number of springs. The problem is that a number of them are contaminated with pesticides and other farming chemicals. The spring at Belle Vue Plage is in the village of Kerbors, a farming organic village. The spring is clean and the water tastes delicious. It juts into an old lavoire, dating back to the 19th century, where the women washed their clothes and filled their drinking water vessels. The view from the spring is pretty phenomenal. You can’t miss it as you head towards the sea. It was last tested in 2018 with flying colours. Even though it’s been five years, the villagers consider it safe to drink and are proud of their little spring.
