This spring is located near the Umpqua Hot springs on the opposite side of the North Umpqua River. There are two trails out of the parking lot, one leading to the hot springs and the other to this spring. It is a short (5-10 min) hiking trail along the road and down through an old growth forest to a quite large spring. There are mossy logs across the spring with well used paths to collection points. A local mentioned that this was one of the freshest sources of water around. I have not tested this water, though I filled and drank 8 gallons and it was both delicious and refreshing.
