A massive karst spring formation spring deep in Kananaskis AB that gives super pure tasting water. This spring is basically unknown to tourists, and is unknown to even most locals.
This spring is not accessible by road. To get to the source, you must part at the mount Shark day use parking lot along the Spray Lakes Road (Highway 742). To get to the Karst Springs trailhead, you must first walk, bike, or ski 4km along the Watridge Lake Trail. From there, the source of the springs is an easy 1.1km walk with 35m of elevation gain.
While there is very little information about this spring, the University of Calgary did an in-depth analysis on the Karst formation. This spring varies in mineral content throughout the year, so no water analysis would be truly valid.
