Alongside the Mississippi River, just south of historic Potosi, WI, a small spring spouts from the base of a high sandstone cliff. Driving down Main Street in Potosi down towards the river, a left turn southwards onto River Lane Road will bring you to this site shortly. High cliff faces on your side will embellish the scenery of the river as you drive on this old Rustic Road. Only just off the road on the cliff side juts a metal spout with a cup attached. Beware, if driving, that pullover parking is not allowed. The road is thin, as it was cut into the bluff. However, it is possible to park near Potosi Point, located just at the turn left off of Hwy 133 (Main St) onto E River Lane Road, and walk the short distance to the spring on the left side of the road.
