Located on West Virginia Route 10, 9/10 mile south of the West Virginia 16/54 intersection. Popular source for locals, because of the quality of water and extreme pressure, it can fill up large volume tanks very quickly. Water comes out of a three-inch diameter, flexible pipe with such pressure it will knock a jug out of your hand. Best way to get water is to hold up pipe (as seen in picture) and hold jug so it fills up from underneath the stream.
This type of spring, fed by a large man-made underground cistern (abandoned coal mine) is a common source of drinking water in Southern West Virginia (even some municipalities use such a source).
There is a piece of slightly larger (in diameter) pipe laying nearby that is used to extend the flow of water for filling large tanks.
