This spring is located along U.S. 40 west, about halfway down from the summit, before reaching Hopwood. There is a large area to pull cars off the highway, and there is a long rubber hose spewing out gallons of cold, fresh mountain water. The hose is propped up by a cinderblock and empties into a wooden trough which then empties and continues flowing down the mountain alongside the road. A favorite stop of mine anytime i’m in the area.
