From Hillsdale, Michigan 4.62 miles, take Bacon Rd. East to Peterson Rd. follow Peterson Rd. You will come to a place where Peterson Rd. will go straight and turn into a gravel road, {South Lake Pleasant Rd. will curve to the right and is paved}. As soon as you pass onto the gravel to your right will be the spring, there is a house behind it with a big wooden fence. It is down in the ditch and has a small bridge across it, a pipe [wrapped in an old washing machine line} is coming out of the ground. Free 24/7 access. Kind of a deserted area, except for the house behind the fence, I never go alone. The spring has been used for years by the locals and the water has been tested many times. Sometimes have to wait in line, and in speaking to someone who lives by the spring and has for years I was told the State of Michigan also tests the water  a couple of times a year.
