About This Spring

Description

Spring water is directed from the east via a PVC pipe from the pine tree covered hill over the road drainage ditch to a cement holding tank. Tank, dated 1981, is covered with a green painted plywood cover. Steel pipe extends from the south side of the tank. Slate rocks below the pipe – perfect height to set a 4-5 gallon carboy to fill. Flow is continuous, approximately 1 gallon/minute. Sign states “State of Vermont cannot guarantee the quality of water.” additional homemade sign states “HELP keep this area clean.”
