Steady flow spring located on 168 east, about 7 miles up the road from Big Pine. The spring was directly on the left-hand side of the road. There is a small spot to pull off the road & a sign about the history of the area. The spring was coming out of a hole in a rock with no visible creek nearby. Uphill drive on a curvy road that may not be maintained in winter, not certain on that.
I asked a local about the spring & he said he would definitely drink it. I would recommend a water test, just to be sure as I know mining happened in the area, though many years ago now.
