Shearwater Hot Springs is located on the north shore of the western part of Gardner Canal, offering a breathtaking landscape of forests, rock cliffs, and clear waters. The springs are protected by the Shearwater Hot Springs Conservancy, safeguarding the hot spring and the boat anchorage site along the Gardner Canal. The bathhouse is provided for warm odorless soaking and is supplied through cracks in the bedrock at the bottom of the water. The water source is 105 degrees F, 40 C.
Shearwater Hot Springs can only be accessed by boat or floatplane, and is located about 45 km east of Hartley Bay and 65 km south of Kitimat, along the north side of Alan Reach in Gardner Canal, on the north side of a small bay between Shearwater Point and Europa Point.
