Astoria Hot Springs is part of the Astoria Park Conservatory, supporting six different man-made soaking pools which are fed by natural nearby springs. These six pools distinct, allowing for a diverse soaking experience. The leisure pool is the largest and coolest of the four mineral hot pools available. It is designed to accommodate families, larger groups, and is Flow Through, meaning the water is constantly being refreshed. It sits at around 100-102 F, or 37-39 C. The children’s pool is a smaller and shallower experience with the deepest part being 2 feet, as well as sitting at a lower temperature of 80-90 F, or 27-32 C. The pool is filled with chlorinated potable water. The Meadow Pool is one of the three hot soaking pools available. It is Flow Through, same as the leisure pool, but sits at a hotter average temperature of 102-104 F, or 39-49 C. The River Soaking Pools have an unobstructed view of Snake River, and consist of two distinct soaking pools, The Waterfall Pool and the River Pool. The Waterfall Pool provides a quieter and more secluded experience as it is surrounded by native plants and foliage. The water source is a small waterfall, allowing for a natural water shoulder and neck massage. The River Pool is far from other pools and sits closest to Snake River. Both of these pools sit around the same temperature of 102-104 F, or 39-40 C, and are both named in memory of conservationists, Luke Lynch and Liza Benson. The last available pool is The Cold Plunge pool. At around 48-51 F, or 9-11 C, this pool is perfect before or after a hot spring soak.
