Spencer Hot Spring consists of four soaking spots, two of which are rustic soaking tubs, known for their reliability in quality and temperature making it popular year-round. The tubs are fed through piping from a nearby source which sits between 140 and 130 degrees F. Temperature of the tubs can vary depending on personal desire as the piping can be moved to increase or decrease temperature. There are nearby attractions as well, easily turning a quick soak into a full day trip. One such attraction is Toquima Cave.
The land in which Spencer resides on is managed by the Nevada Bureau of Land Management(BLM), and is open to the public so make sure to respect the land as you explore. The trip to Spencer Hot Spring is mainly off road so make sure to plan accordingly and check weather conditions. Information and inquiry available through Austin Tourism.
