About This Spring

Description

Kuninkaanlähteitä on useampia Suomessa. Yksi Kuninkaanlähde Hämeen Härkätien varrella on lähellä Vanhalinnaa. Kustaa on körötellyt Härkätiellä tilustensa tarkastusretkillä. Lähteen vesi on kuninkaan hevosten lisäksi kelvannut myös Härkätietä matkanneelle rahvaalle. Nykyisin en suosittele juomaan lähteestä, sillä “Vesissä on eroja kuten viineissä”. Kauneus on toki aina katsojan silmässä. Katsokaapa muuten kuinka paljon lehtikuusia tällä alueella on. This well is near the Vanhalinna manor and Old Castle of Lieto (Liedon Vanhalinna in Finnish) . King Gustav of Sweden, born Gustav Eriksson and later known as Gustav Vasa, let His horses to drink from this spring in 16th century. The well has been called after this event “Kuninkaanlähde” – the well of the King. So, why not to have a break like a king? Drinking water is on your own risk. There is also a fascinating tale of a young blond lady: She drowned here because of love. You can still find her walking here in the summer nights.
